Anette is a designer and art director, she runs the boutique design shop Anette Nam Design (anettenamdesign.com and anettenamdesignblog.com). When at work, she prefers to design websites, logos, corporate identities, and custom high-end cards. For fun she is starting to dabble in photography.
After years of making her own Halloween Star Wars costumes for the family, and hosting “May the Fourth be with You” parties with creative food & decorations, she decided to put her design talents to Star Wars-y good use! She is compiling her collection of fun Star Wars ideas in this blog and accompanying website (maythefourthbewithyouparty.com). It is her pleasure to share them with you guys.
I just found your site today. I love everything! You are so creative. Thank you fir sharing your ideas with us.

Hi there! I love your banner designs!! Any chance I can get them in a format that would work with my Cricut Explore Air 2?? Maybe if you sell the SVG files??

So glad that you like them! I don’t upload live, non-copyrighted marked files – it limits the amount of “unauthorized” sharing. In order words, you’ll need to work at it a bit if you want to convert it 🙂
If you have illustrator you can easily convert the pdf to a SVG file. There are also lots of “pdf to SVG converters” online – though I have not tried them myself. Be sure to let me know if that does not work!

I tried making the party stormtrooper with an xacto knife, and it looks terrible. I wanted to make two shirts for my kids’ birthdays. Would you possibly let me pay you for a couple of heat transfers? I can’t afford that fancy machine!

So sorry Rachel, I missed your comment. I hope the birthday parties went well! I typically do not sell any of the items shown on this blog. If you can’t get a good cut-out, the easiest thing to do is to buy inkjet heat transfer paper. She, then print the design (with the black background) out on an 8.5×11 sheet (be sure to mirror it). Then follow the instructions for ironing onto the shirt. If you don’t have a decent printer, take the file to FedEx Office or OfficeMax – they can print the design out on iron-on paper. (It’ll be cheaper than buying a whole pack of iron-on paper too) Good Luck!!

Did you happen to download the Starwars quilt block patterns from the Geeknots? (https://geeknots.wordpress.com/2016/07/11/starship-suprises/) If so, would you be able to share the Millennium Falcon, Tie Fighter and the X-wing. I am wanting to make the quilt for my grandson and these are the only patterns that are not downloadable on the sight.
Any help would be appreciated. I really like the things that you create and share on your page.

Thanks for the kind word! …And I agree that Geeknots created some AMAZING Star Wars designs. Sorry, I never did download any of the patterns. (I am assuming you tried contacting them via their blog.) Good luck on the quilt for your grandson!

Hey Anette, what a lovely website and work. I was looking for a star wars costume for my son and found your costume of Luke Skywalker on Tauntaun. Gorgeous.
Do you have any DIY for that?

So glad you like it! No, I have not made a DIY for it. Sorry! There are a few tips in the comments on the bottom of that page, and if you have other specific questions I am more than happy to answer them. If you do ask questions, please ask in the comments of https://maythefourthbewithyoupartyblog.com/2017/10/31/happy-halloween-diy-hoth-luke-on-tauntaun-and-wampa-costumes/ – that way others will get the benefit of the answers too. Good Luck!
