Not having seen the Force Awakens yet, it is a bit silly to have a favorite character. But still, I do – Captain Phasma. I of course don’t know anything about her, but just the same she is my fave.
What is not to like? She is 6′ 3″ tall, clad in armor and has a totally non-apologetic swagger. Come to think of it, that sounds a lot like another of my favorite TV characters, Brienne of Tarth of Game of Thrones
Seeing the new trailer, I am itching to make patterns of The Force Awakens characters. I am hoping to have the 5 new core characters designed and posted before the movie opens up – so stay tuned! In the meantime, here is one of the ships that is used in The Force Awakens, as well as the original movies.
Blogging is hard work. No, I take that back. Blogging is something I do for fun, but that does not always make it easy. And today I am stuck. My mind is totally blank. I can’t come up with anything interesting to say about the Millennium Falcon. (It’s terrible!) So here is what I will do: I am going to give you a link to someone who always has something interesting to say about the iconic ship…

Star Wars was huge, it was revolutionary! It was a social event! These days we all get our news and entertainment fixes from such varied sources, that it is hard to imagine that we will ever have such a common entertainment experience again. That blue black/gold white dress had everyone talking… But it will be forgotten in a few weeks. The last season of Breaking Bad was big, but still nowhere near the “Who shot JR” experience. So the Death Star, was, huge! Not just in size on screen, but also in impact. There are other newer sci-fi movies that might rival Star Wars in quality, fun and even entertainment value. However the Star Wars trilogy, is common experience that will be remembered, long after those other sci-fi movies have been forgotten.
I have now written, and then deleted 5 different versions of this post. All of them came out sounding bitter and angry over the Special Edition of the Star Wars trilogy – and the lack of an original version available. They say, if you can’t say something nice, say nothing at all. So I will only say this:
