We are ready for Trick-or-Treating!
We made the R2-D2 costume for #1 a few years ago, and it now fits our son perfectly…. which made the choice for the other characters obvious. Click here for more photos from our shoot 2 weeks ago.

Since I am a kid at heart, I figured I am allowed to enjoy trick-or-treating as much as the kids do. But I don’t dress up. Well, I don’t dress up MUCH.
The trick is to dress up enough to reinforce the theme, but not so much that you take the focus away from the little ones…
After a bit of a break getting ready for, and hosting our own May the Fourth be with You Party, we are now back to the blog… though still a bit tired. Star Wars fandom proposes some problems for girls. The majority of characters are male of course, but more importantly just about all official licensed merchandising is geared towards boys. (Marketing people at Disney, take note, there is a vast untapped market here!) But being a firm believer in creative liberties, and personal expressions – as well as being the owner of a several cans of pink spray paint, we went to work. 10 minutes of work, and wait time about the time it took to watch 3 Clone Wars episodes, we had the perfect Pink Vader costume.
Black Friday! GAAAAH! Many of us are not quite ready to start thinking about Christmas shopping yet. But just in case you are a planner, and want some tips on what to give your wife or girlfriend, here is the post for you.

If it is B and she does not looooove Star Wars (I know, that happens!), she should still appreciate these nice, decidedly NON-traditional designs from welovefine.com.
(And hint, they have some really cool men’s and unisex ones too. Don’t tell my hubby, I am getting him this one for Christmas!)

Most things about having children are wonderful. Sure, sometimes, tiring, exhausting, aggravating, and infuriating, but ALWAYS wonderous and amazing. It really is like a whole new universe opens up when you have a child. As a first time parent you understand that thing called unconditional love, you learn that someone puking on you can actually be kinda’ cute, and in happy disbelief you find out that there is such a thing as Yoda costumes for infants!
