There are always a lot of kids at our Star Wars parties. But, I would totally be lying if I said we did this for the children. Nope, it entirely for us adults! So along with the PG-rated beverages, we naturally have some potables too, just for the adults.
For last year’s May the Fourth be with You Party we made our own wine labels – both Red and White. So the question for our guests became, Dark or Light? Empire or Rebels? Sith of Jedi? Unbridled passion or cool rational thought? Make sure you watch your friends’ wine choices – they might say more about them than you would have guessed.
The labels are exclusive to M4P (As a package designer, I of course had to make our own labels) and we are thrilled to share with ya’ll free on our blog. Scroll down, and you can download them either as jpegs or pdfs.
As always, you may download for your personal use, but you may not use to sell or use for any professional party services. We would love for you to link to our downloads, but you may not download and then upload and offer as downloads on your own site. Also, please include “Labels © Anette Nam Design” and maythefourthbewithyouparty.com if you share, post or publish your photos of our designs anywhere… and please let us know when you do, ‘cuz we love to see how our work is being used! THANKS!
Lastly, we used the Australian wine Yellow Tail Shiraz and Chardonnay, but you can of course use your favorite wine.
If you are looking for more downloadable labels, check out our M4P exclusive labels for Yoda Soda and Darth Pop 2 Liter bottles as well.
For additional beverage ideas, check out our Cantina (with downloadable sign), or click the beverage tag at the bottom of this post – or go under Food, then Beverages on the top menu.
Needed:
- May the Fourth, Star Wars Rebel & Empire Wine Labels
(downloadable pdf) - Yellow Tail Shiraz (or other wine of choice)
- Yellow Tail Chardonnay (or other wine of choice)
- Double Stick Tape
- X-acto Knife
- Ruler
(C Through Rulers are the best ever!)
- Self-healing Cutting Mat
How To:
- Soak the wine bottles in warm-ish, soapy water.
- Remove label.
- Dry thoroughly.
- Download and print out labels. (going to Kinko’s or Staples might be a good idea unless you have a really good printer at home)
- Cut out. If you have one, use an X-acto and ruler instead of scissors, it looks much cleaner.
- Stick label to bottles with double stick tape. I suppose you could use spray mount, but I am always hesitant to use that with anything involving food.
