(Slight spoilers, but nothing major.) A few days after The Force Awakens premiered, a new term started to be used when discussing it. We had heard adjectives such as, action-packed, fun, scary, glorious, and sad. Then suddenly this noun get thrown into the mix: Bromance. It is a new one in for the Star Wars universe. The closest we have seen to a bromance is Obi wan and Anakin, though that is also a mentor-mentee relationship, so it doesn’t quite qualify.

Review of X-Wing Miniatures Game (Base Game)
Hello everyone! I’m “the Hubby” that Anette occasionally mentions in her posts. I am also, what she calls “the Game Master” here at M4P central. That title makes sense. I have been an avid board gamer my entire life, and I have a large collection of board games – Star Wars and otherwise. A couple of years ago I started playing the X-Wing Miniatures Game, and over the next few weeks I am going to share a series of reviews of that game here. Let the Games Begin…
Mature Han Solo Perler Pixel Pattern
(No Spoilers) To spoil or not to spoil. That is the question. As with all other The Force Awakens posts we have made, we had to decide whether we want this post to be safe from spoilers. One the one hand, we obviously don’t want to ruin anything… on the other hand we really really REALLY want to talk to you guys about the movie! However, I think we are going to keep it spoiler free for a bit longer. So, if you have yet to see the movie, it is still safe to click and read on.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
A few weeks ago I shared that M4P mom was worried that our Christmas cards were going to be Star Wars themed. Well, she was right! (My mom is almost always right…) We sent them out a couple of weeks ago, and now I’m sharing them with you guys too.
The cards had a cut Star Wars snowflake on top, once you flipped that up, you can see the text, photos and design elements – all which are Star Wars themed. (Go further down the post to see the card in its entirety).
But this post really is not about Star Wars…. ‘cuz as much as we focus on fun, and arguably frivolous things here on this blog, we all know these are not the things that truly matter in life.
Is The Force Awakens OK for Kids?
The question I have been asked most in person the past 5 days is “Did you like the movie?” (YES!). The second most popular question is “Can I take my child to see it?”. I am assuming that anyone reading this blog is going to see the movie – so need to convince you of that 🙂 BUT, I wanted to address the issue about whether or not to take your kids. (No real spoilers ahead, but I do describe few scenes, so you know when to cover your child’s eyes)
Kylo Ren Perler Pixel Pattern
(No Spoilers!) They say that the villain is always the most interesting character in a story. I’m not sure that is necessarily true. And from what I had seen in the previews, I didn’t think Kylo Ren seemed terribly original or interesting – and unnecessarily flashy with his over-the-top, impractical lightsaber.
After having seen the movie though, I have totally changed my tune. I think he is my favorite new character. (Sorry Captain Phasma!)
