…or at least is was 95% Star Wars free! (That is probably not the answer our friends would give you if you asked them about the wedding, but it is nevertheless true!) Since Valentine’s is coming up, I thought it would be appropriate to get a little personal here, and share a few details about our special day.

Nien Nunb Perler Bead Coaster
Richard Bonehill who portrayed Nien Nunb in Return of the Jedi passed away last week. Even though he did not have much screen time, together with the puppeteer skills of Mike Quinn, and the voice of Kipsang Rotich, Bonehill created a character that was very distinctive and, will be an engrained in our Star Wars consciousness for a long time to come.

Queen Amidala Perler Bead Coaster
Every time I watch the 3 prequels, I marvel at the amazing costumes made for Padmé. Totally impractical, (but so are stormtrooper helmets), restricting, heavy, but gorgeous, splendiferous and plentiful! The red gown from the Phantom Menace is probably the most iconic. Admiral Ackbar Perler Bead Coaster
Admiral Ackbar is one of my favorite Star Wars characters. (…and I promise, it has absolutely nothing to do with that fact that I do really enjoy a nice plate of deep-fried calamari…). R2-D2 Cheese

Don’t you call me a mindless philosopher, you overweight glob of grease!
(C-3PO to R2-D2 right before they enter the escape pod, in the beginning of Episode IV)
Well, an R2-D2 glob of grease is EXACTLY what we are going for here… So let the melted cheese fun start!
This was our very first venture into molded Star Wars cheese heaven…it was super easy compared to carving, which we had done in previous years.
Some of my Favorite Things (DIY Star Wars Chocolates)
My favorite things (not in any particular order): family, friends, God, Puccini, cheese, Christmas trees, Star Wars, and chocolate. They are even better when combined: a cheese party with friends, seeing Tosca with the hubby, the Christmas display at Church…. and now, eating Star Wars chocolates!!!
