I promised a few new recipes before May 4th! So, just in time for Easter, and May the Fourth I present to you our BB-Ates appetizers!
We first served them at our May the Fourth be with You Party 2 years ago, and they went like hot cakes. The kids must have eaten a half dozen each.
10 days left until Halloween! Not much time if you are making your own costume. We have been tinkering with ours for 2 weeks already, and are not done yet (1 done, 1 halfway done), but we will be done this weekend. However, if you have not started yet, there is still plenty of time to make an original costume: Rey is one of the easiest Star Wars characters to improvise with things you already have at home.
Bazine Netal is only on the screen for a few seconds, but visually she is one of the most striking characters in The Force Awakens. Her almost Op-Art-y outfit makes her just pop off the screen. So we were just so thrilled when one of our guests dressed up as Bazine for the 2016 May the Fourth be with You Party.
“Roma-what?”, I asked for the second time. M4P friend Mary Beth had to say it 3 times before I got it, “R-O-M-A-N-E-S-C-O! You know, that green fractal cauliflower that Rey eats at Maz Kanata’s place in The Force Awakens.”
I can’t remember the last time I made a port-Rey-t out of food. However, when Dave and Joely brought “Rey’s Krispies Treats” to our Star Wars party, I’m af-Rey-d I simply couldn’t ref-Rey-n myself from taking their idea, and making one of The Force Awakens heroine. I p-Rey they forgive me for appropriating their punny name!
This Pixel Monday post is a follow-up on last week’s post and pattern of Darth Vader: today we have Vader’s TIE Advanced (TIE Fighter). I always though it was very interesting that Vader did not simply stay in the safety of the Death Star or his Imperial Star Destroyer. He got right in the action. I love how different that makes him from Kylo Ren.
