The Force Awakens comes out in 2 weeks. You already have your tickets. You already have a babysitter (if you could find one willing to be at your house until 4 am on a school night. Though I am thinking the Star Wars movie release date and the day after should be considered national holidays.)
You probably already have some sort of costume. (If not, we have plenty of DIY and store bought ideas here on the blog – just remember, no masks or weapons at the cineplex!)
So the remaining question is, have you planned your food?
The vast number of movie theaters will not let you bring your own food in, so your options are eating out, party at home before/after, OR tailgating at the theater.
Home is easy, we have lots of ideas for you.

Tailgating…
We recommend if you do tailgate, keep it family friendly and skip the alcohol!
Here are some of our favorite portable foods:
Beverages:
Hoth Chocolate in a thermos
Coffee with Star Wars Coffee-Mate Creamer
Darth Pop and Yoda Soda
Salads:
Bow-TIE Fighter Pasta Salad
Main Dishes:
Bobba Feta Burgers (Post to come: Grilled burgers with Feta Cheese inside!)
Star Wars Shaped Sandwiches
Snacks:
Stormtrooper Cheeeheads (especially appealing if you are a Green Bay Packers fan… speaking of tailgating in the snow)
JarJar o’ Pickles (Post to come)
Then there are of course ready-made Star Wars licensed snacks such as:
Star Wars Honey Maid Grahams Crackers
Star Wars Pop Chips
Sweets:
Darth Chocolates
Imperial S’mores
Wookie Cookies
Feel free to ask questions, and let us know if you have other ideas – we would love to share them with our readers.
