Me (wearing my Yoda hat): What would Darth Vader like to eat?
My son: I dunno what Darth Vader eats, but Jar Jar eats Mesa soup.
I really wish I could take credit for that joke. I wish I could take credit for coming up with “Mesa soup“. But alas, my 4-year-old son, came up with both all by himself. I have to say I was a pretty proud.
I have mentioned before that my mom (“M4P Mom”), regularly calls with ideas for the blog. Unfortunately, she has more ideas than we have time. What we really need are some Minions to keep up. (Where are Bob, Kevin, and Stewart when we need them?)
So we have to prioritize – and doing these Lightsaber Hilt Napkin Rings were a no-brainer. I think this is one of the coolest things we have done in a long time, here at May the Fourth Central.
Mint Yoda, Chocolate Chewbacca, Dark Chocolate Darth Vader, and Banana C-3PO… Everyone at our Star Wars Party last year had their own favorite Star Wars sugar cookie flavor!
Last week I got a wonderful surprise, we were nominated for “One Lovely Blog Award” by Erin and Sky! We work hard trying to come up with ideas and posts that amuse us, erhm, I mean YOU guys, and to be appreciated is just such a treat! So THANK YOU!
The “One Lovely Blog Award” gives us bloggers a chance to 1. Give much deserved recognition to our favorite blogs. 2. Share our favorite blogs with our readers (where we go to for inspiration and fun). And 3, it gives the readers a few interesting tidbits about the people behind the blogs.
“NO FAIR!” My daughter was really jealous when her little brother got a set of Pottery Barn Star Wars sheets for his birthday a while back. So we started looking for a set for her too. She has a pink and green room, and we were hoping to get something that would at least sort of match. After hours of searching online, we came up with….nothing. I guess I was not really expecting anyone to sell pink Star Wars sheets, but I was really hoping for something gender-neutral like green, off-white or grey, but alas, nothing.
Just over 3 months left to get our May the Fourth be with You Party crafts done. Time to get started! Good thing I have my new best friend: my Silhouette Cameo 2 Die-cutting Machine
