There is no one as smooth as Lando. He is by far the best ladies man in Star Wars. Obi-Wan is a too much like our dad. Qui-Gon, nice, but, honestly, a bit boring. Mace is cool, but dangerous. Han is pretty rough around the edges. And Luke is, well, our brother. Lando, however, is the guy who one would want to take home and introduce to mom, AND at the same time the one that will make all your female friends swoon with jealousy.

Count Dooku Perler Bead Coaster
Most of us geeks of course know Christopher Lee as a pivotal character in two of the most popular movie series of all time (Count Dooku in Star Wars, and Saruman in The Lord of the Rings/Hobbit). But like most casual fans, I had no idea his list of accomplishments was so much more extensive. In fact it reads like notes for a movie script: War, spies, blood, love, Hollywood and… heavy metal.

General Grievous Perler Bead Coaster
In the midst of all the terror, there is something tragic and vulnerable about General Grievous.
Despite being such a fearsome villain, we can’t help but feel sorry for him. The credit has to go his designer Warren Fu. When Grievous was introduced to us in Episode III, we really didn’t know much about Grievous’ back story. Obi Two Kenobis (Perler Bead Coaster)

Today we have, not Wan, but Two Kenobis for y’all: The young-ish from Episode 2 and 3, and the mature Old Ben from Episode 4. I decided to make both since, Ewan McGregor is, well Ewan McGregor, and Alec Guinness is de Man. One should not have to choose.

Chewbacca Perler Bead Coaster
My husband doesn’t know it yet, but he is going to be a Wookiee when he takes the kids trick-or-treating this Halloween. (Surprise Honey!) Since trick-or-treating really is for the kids, we adults usually don’t dress, up – other than some nominal Star Wars gear. I usually wear my Yoda Hat, and the hubby carries a light saber, and maybe his Jedi robe (Adult Jedi costume post to come, I promise). This year though, I bought him a Wookiee Jacket to wear. But promise not to tell him, I wouldn’t want him to get too disappointed if I decide to keep it for myself…

More Star Wars (w)rap! (Yoda Wrapping)
A couple of weeks ago I featured a present wrapped as an Ewok (from M4P friend Gene Ha). Now that we are recovered from all our partying, I am keeping my promise to feature one of his other paper-folding wrappings. So today we have Yoda!
