Lots of people like Sci-Fi in small doses. Not us! Star Wars in big, giant wood-ladle-sized servings for us, please.
Jedi Master Heidi’s case in point: She put her mad craft skills to use and made this too-funny centerpiece for our Mos Eisley’s Cantina (post to come this Friday). She used the wood spoon Bith (from the awesome book: The Star Wars Craft Book by Bonnie Burton), and designed a centerpiece that is (Star Wars) music to our ears.
(Before I go on to talk about internet and copyrights, I have to make this pun. You know, I always thought that the Bith band members looked a little wooden. Now I know why…)
How To:
- Now, here is the dilemma. The internet and copyrights… Ms. Burton went through a lot of trouble writing the book, and is hopefully making money on the book sales – so I don’t want to give her instructions away for free. Thusly, I have decided to not post the Bith instructions here in order to encourage you to buy her book….
- The stage is ours, so I will talk about that. Super simple: a sturdy foam brick covered in tissue paper.
Needed:
- The Star Wars Craft Book + any supplies listed there
- Flower Foam (but NOT the water absorbent crumbly kind)
- Tissue paper
