Kids grow so fast! We quickly realized that if we (the parents) wanted maximize our (never mind the kids’) amusement at Halloween we had to plan ahead. We needed to do all the short characters while the objects of our amusement were still small. Yoda, at about 2 feet, is the size of a pretty young child, so Yoda was our very first. R2D2, check. We still need to tackle Ewoks and Jawas. Then there is young Anakin, another shorty! So a couple of years ago, our little guy got recruited as a podracer pilot.

Ready for the Picnic (DIY Padmé Amidala Costume)
This past May, after a few years of helping me make elaborate and pretty masculine costumes (General Grievous, Chewie, R2D2), my daughter requested an easy-to-wear and girly costume for our May the Fourth Party. Downloadable Yoda Soda and Darth Pop Labels
These are our very own, M4P exclusive, 2 liter soda labels, made for our own M4P party. And you can download them for free from our blog.
In my day job, I spend a lot of time designing food labels and packaging. So it was just a matter of time before we started making fake Star Wars food labels for our parties. This was my first stab, and I am really happy to be sharing them with you guys. Feel free to download the pdf or the jpegs below and use for your own parties.
Chewbacca Perler Bead Coaster
My husband doesn’t know it yet, but he is going to be a Wookiee when he takes the kids trick-or-treating this Halloween. (Surprise Honey!) But promise not to tell him, I wouldn’t want him to get too disappointed if I decide to keep it for myself…
