Bazine Netal is only on the screen for a few seconds, but visually she is one of the most striking characters in The Force Awakens. Her almost Op-Art-y outfit makes her just pop off the screen. So we were just so thrilled when one of our guests dressed up as Bazine for the 2016 May the Fourth be with You Party.
I have mentioned that my son wants to be a Jawa for this year’s May the Fourth be with You Party. With the costume (almost) done, I could finally do my planned Jawa Java post! There were just a few problems:

There are bad guys, and there are scary, snarly, nightmare inducing guys. Bib Fortuna always gave me the creeps more than any other character…. I think even more than Darth Maul.
This creates an interesting dilemma when making children’s clothing… On the one hand there is the opportunity to use a pun like Bib, on the other hand you don’t want to scar your young child for life.

We are ready for Trick-or-Treating!
We made the R2-D2 costume for #1 a few years ago, and it now fits our son perfectly…. which made the choice for the other characters obvious. Click here for more photos from our shoot 2 weeks ago.
