Today I am going to do some entirely unsolicited bragging about a friend of mine (and by extension a friend of you guys): Gene Ha! If you are not familiar with his work yet, I am going to pause for a little bit while you click on this link, and take a look at his work. You back? Amazing, right? He is one of the best comic book artists in the biz today.

Rey’s Speeder Perler Pixel Pattern
I love when I get feedback from you guys! Recently, I have received requests for more ship and vehicle patterns. So that gave me a great excuse to get all the beads out again. #1 and I created a bunch of new patterns, so from now on I promise I will add more vehicles into the mix.
Maz Kanata Perler Pixel Pattern
Spoilers ahead! Except for Snoke, Maz Kanata is the most mysterious of the new The Force Awakens characters. Portrayed by Lupita Nyong’o in a wonderful motion capture performance, Maz is the “wise old sage” character all good mythical stories need (and Star Wars is missing now that Yoda is no longer in the picture).
DIY Girls’ Star Wars Quilted Comforter Cover

“NO FAIR!” My daughter was really jealous when her little brother got a set of Pottery Barn Star Wars sheets for his birthday a while back. So we started looking for a set for her too. She has a pink and green room, and we were hoping to get something that would at least sort of match. After hours of searching online, we came up with….nothing. I guess I was not really expecting anyone to sell pink Star Wars sheets, but I was really hoping for something gender-neutral like green, off-white or grey, but alas, nothing.
Getting Ready for May the Fourth! (More DIY Banners)
Just over 3 months left to get our May the Fourth be with You Party crafts done. Time to get started! Good thing I have my new best friend: my Silhouette Cameo 2 Die-cutting Machine. I sound like an infomercial, I do, but I have to say I am in awe of its almost unlimited possibilities… If only my available time was unlimited as well.
The Force Awakens T-70 X-Wing Perler Pixel Patterns
![]()
(Mild spoilers) When the previews of The Force Awakens came out I thought that our original X-Wing pattern was going to be close enough to use for The Force Awakens as well. Oops, my bad! The design is close-ish. Without getting too technical, the wings are slightly different, the engines now split in 2, and the proportions are a bit different. (You can see detailed photos of the differences here.)
