Here at the May “the Fourth be with You” Party Blog, we have spent all weekend making food and decorations for this year’s Big Party. Before that, we spent 6 months posting ideas from previous parties. On our blog, you’ll find lots of inter-galacticly fun ways of celebrating the 4th. We have more foods and craft ideas than you can shake Lightsaber at at…. (that last one was a typo, really, but I thought it was appropriate so I am keeping it in)

My Mom Loves Me! (DIY Flags)
My mother says she hates Star Wars (or “Star Tracks” as she calls it). Hate is a strong word, but she just does not understand why anyone could possibly be interested in it. She does however love interior design and decorating, and she is amazingly good at it – in addition to being very creative. And being my mom, she wants to support all my endeavours! So she has been calling me with ideas of things to feature on the M4P blog. Thus we are going to start a new feature here at on our blog: M4P Mom. She already has a whole list of suggestions for cool Star Wars Day decor and party ideas. As we create them, I will take photos and write the how-tos here. THANKS mom for always being my biggest fan and champion.

Still, I was WAY out of my depth on the smell of Star Wars (though we have all heard about the Tauntauns stinking). So, we asked dad (who is THE Star Wars expert in our family, and has an exceptional olfactory system to boot), but he had no idea either.

Some of my Favorite Things (DIY Star Wars Chocolates)
My favorite things (not in any particular order): family, friends, God, Puccini, cheese, Christmas trees, Star Wars, and chocolate. They are even better when combined: a cheese party with friends, seeing Tosca with the hubby, the Christmas display at Church…. and now, eating Star Wars chocolates!!!
Cutest Yoda Ever, She Was!
Most things about having children are wonderful. Sure, sometimes, tiring, exhausting, aggravating, and infuriating, but ALWAYS wonderous and amazing. It really is like a whole new universe opens up when you have a child. As a first time parent you understand that thing called unconditional love, you learn that someone puking on you can actually be kinda’ cute, and in happy disbelief you find out that there is such a thing as Yoda costumes for infants!
