I have mentioned that my son wants to be a Jawa for this year’s May the Fourth be with You Party. With the costume (almost) done, I could finally do my planned Jawa Java post! There were just a few problems:
May the 4th
Obi-Wan Cornobi
There are 2 kinds of Star Wars dishes: dishes that are based on food featured in the movies (+ TV shows and books), and food that is inspired by Star Wars. Since there are only a handful of dishes actually featured in the Star Wars universe, here at M4P central we spend most of our time trying to be inspired. Good thing we have help! The Obi-Wan Cornobi dish is one do the funniest dishes we have had at our May the Fourth be with You Party, and it comes courtesy of M4P friend Linda.
How to Make an Entrance! (DIY Star Wars Fabric Banners)
Forget the balloons at the mailbox! A Star Wars Party deserves some truly special outdoor decorations. So for last year’s May the Fourth be with You Party, Jedi Master Heidi made these banners (and banner stands) for the front entrance of our house. They looked very festive, AND they served as a subtle warning to our neighbors that the Geeks were about to take over the cul-du-sac once again.
As Seen on TV!
We had a HUGE weekend at the May the Fourth be with You Party HQ. Not only did we obliterate all our view and visitor records, our blog was also featured on TV! Check out what our ABC station had to say about us!
Thank you Alexandra Bahou for the wonderful story!
And all our readers, THANK YOU for making this May the Fourth especially fun for us!
Now, if you have NOT visited yet, take a look at all the geeky fun we are having!
