First off, THANKS for all the love, comments and shares yesterday! We had a record-breaking 2.7K views in one day! (WOAH!) We also made lots of new friends, and had blast sharing and talking with our “old” friends! THANK YOU GUYS!!!
Now on to the subject of the day: Revenge of the Fifth, and why it is on the wrong day!
The Hubby wants to start a petition.
Here is why: He thinks we should be celebrating “Revenge of the Sixth,” not “Revenge of the Fifth.” (And I have to agree.) First, it sounds much more like Revenge of the Sith. Secondly, if we move it, we can keep Cinco de Mayo as a separate holiday, and then we’d get 3 party days in a row. Whatcha guys think? ‘Not sure where we would file the formal request.
Under his objection though, today’s design still does say “Revenge of the Fifth.”
As always, we ask you not to make and sell these. A, because LucasFilm Ltd. and Disney owns the rights to all characters, and B, because we made the designs and it would be unfair for you to make money off them. We also we want to remind you that we should get credit when the patterns are used. So, if you show your work using our designs anywhere (online as well), put a “Pattern © Anette Nam Design” and link to “Maythefourthbewithyouparty.com” somewhere close by. THANK YOU!

Needed:
- Black T-shirt
- Silhouette Cameo Cutting Machine
(or X-acto Knife if you are doing it by hand)
- Silhouette Cameo Smooth Heat Transfer
(Yellow, Blue, Pink & Grey)
- Kylo Ren May the Fourth be with you party Tshirt pattern (download pdf here)
- Iron
- Thin Cotton Fabric (such as sheet or pillowcase)
- X-acto Knife
How To:
- Down-load the pattern below.
- Load and convert the pdf file on computer, and reverse the image.
- Cut out on Cameo. (There are lots and lots of great You Tube tutorials on how to use your Cameo to cut out vinyl, so I will not get into how to use the machine here.) OR print out on printer, place on vinyl and cut through both paper and vinyl layers by hand (NOT the clear plastic layer).
- Weed the vinyl sheet (get rid of all the unwanted little pieces). I find an X-acto knife is best for this.
- Close cut the shapes, so there is just a little bit of the sticky clear plastic around each piece.
- Lay them out (sticky side down) on the T-shirt, cover with cotton fabric, and iron for about a minute (on cotton setting, with no steam).
- Carefully peel the clear plastic off.
- Let cool for a while.

Weirdly, I always thought it was Revenge of the Sixth. It wasn’t until this past week that I was like, “Huh? It’s Revenge of the Fifth? Since when?” LOL.

Weird, huh? The reasoning I got yesterday (from various friends and social media comments) for the fifth was this. A. It’s funnier to have it the day after. B. That’s when fans are hung over, so it makes more sense. C. We have to save the 6th for when the movie “Return of the Sith” comes out… JUST in case they decide to use that name in the future. All valid points. Still, sixth, sounds better 🙂
