A couple of weeks ago I featured a present wrapped as an Ewok (from M4P friend Gene Ha). Now that we are recovered from all our partying, I am keeping my promise to feature one of his other paper-folding wrappings. So today we have Yoda!
Come on, who does not LOVE getting presents? And who does not LOVE to tear them open right away? Not me, not this time. I recently received 3 small-ish boxes (from M4P friend Gene Ha) wrapped as Star Wars figures, and I just could not imagine that the inside could live up to the awesome outsides. So I didn’t, open them, for a looong, time.
Have you seen Ewan McGregor’s smile? Seriously, have you?
I am a little torn here, I really want to show his picture on the blog, but I am thinking Ewan probably wouldn’t appreciate being volunteered into doing an “advetorial” for a toothbrush. So the link above will have to do! So click on the link, admire his smile, and then come right back to the M4P post!
Today, I learned a new phrase (from wookieepedia) that I think I will use often:
Blue Milk Run.
It is used when explaining something that should be super simple. Bantha milk was easily available all over the galaxy, and going to pick some up was never a problem, so among military personnel the phrase came to mean an easy mission. Kyle Katarn tells Jaden Korr about the Mission to Tatooine: This should be a total blue milk run, kid. But it’ll give you a chance to pick up some negotiating skills. Let’s head to Tatooine.
Marriage is full of compromises. Whose family do you spend Christmas with? Who takes the trash out? PCs or Macs?
Before I got married, my Christmas tree was one of my favorite things. Not that it was fancy or anything. it was that it had to be “just so.” It had to look like I remembered my family’s tree from my childhood. Then I get engaged, and my fiancée tells me he collects Hallmark Star Wars ornaments, and wants to put them up in the tree!!!
In MY tree!? No way! There was no compromising with “my” tree!
Black Friday! GAAAAH! Many of us are not quite ready to start thinking about Christmas shopping yet. But just in case you are a planner, and want some tips on what to give your wife or girlfriend, here is the post for you.
…I am going to assume that you have already bought the jewelry, decided against the vacuum cleaner, and just need something little extra, something personal and fun. Something that either A. shows you want to support her interests, or B. want to gently nudge her towards yours…
If it is B and she does not looooove Star Wars (I know, that happens!), she should still appreciate these nice, decidedly NON-traditional designs from welovefine.com.
(And hint, they have some really cool men’s and unisex ones too. Don’t tell my hubby, I am getting him this one for Christmas!)
