As you guys know, this blog and our May the Fourth Parties would not be possible without Jedi Master Heidi’s help and crafty brilliance. She wields an X-acto knife better than anyone I know. And don’t even think about challenging her to a glue-gun duel. You. Will. Loose.

Sabine Wren Perler Pixel Pattern
From day 1, Star Wars has done a better job at representing women than most other popular franchises (except Aliens). Princess Leia is strong, feisty, and just as competent as the guys. Padmé Amidala is the smartest of all new characters in the Prequels. And in Clone Wars, we are introduced to the fabulous Ahsoka Tano and Assajj Ventress.
Sabine Wren’s Helmet Perler Pixel Pattern
Today we are starting our Star Wars Rebels pixel patterns series.
Upon ADAMANT requests from #1, I made the patterns a couple of months back. Then we built all designs together …and I had to PROMISE we would have them all posted by the time the new season starts. Rumor has it season 3 will start in the fall, so we better get started if we are going to post all 12 patterns before then.
Grand Moff Tarkin Perler Pixel Pattern
Summer is coming up fast, and once the kids are out of school all bets are off. Last year we ended up taking a break in posting most of the summer, but I promise we are not going to do that again this year. However, I want to warn you guys that we are probably going to slow the posting pace down…just a little bit. So don’t worry if you don’t hear from us 3 times a week like you did all spring! We are still here, still writing, still posting, and here is the good news – we are also getting a head start on a bunch of Halloween Costume posts.
Yoda Perler Pixel Pattern
Yoda is a dichotomy. Child-like yet wise. Small yet powerful. A puppet, yet in many ways the most real and relatable character in the Star Wars universe.
He is also the only character that is (almost universally) loved by the absolute youngest fans, as well as the oldest. The really young’uns are scared or don’t connect to most other characters. The characters they do love, Jar Jar and the Ewoks, many adults can’t stand. But Yoda is different, and I think it is precisely because of the opposites he embodies.
Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced Perler Pixel Pattern
This Pixel Monday post is a follow-up on last week’s post and pattern of Darth Vader: today we have Vader’s TIE Advanced (TIE Fighter). I always though it was very interesting that Vader did not simply stay in the safety of the Death Star or his Imperial Star Destroyer. He got right in the action. I love how different that makes him from Kylo Ren.
