7:30 am:
– Sweetie it is time to get out of bed
– GAAAAAAAAAAAH!
– No, really, you have used up your snoozes, time to get up!
– GAAH!

4:30 pm:
– How was school? Did the spelling quiz go OK?
– GAAAAAH!
– Great! I’m glad you liked recess, but what about the quiz?
– GAAAH!

6:30 pm:
– GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
– Hey buddy! There is NO hitting your sister! Honey, why did he hit you?
– GAAAAH! GAAAAH!
– gaaaaah! gaaaaaah! gaaaaaaaaah!
– You! No stealing you brother’s lightsaber. You! no hitting!

9:30 pm:
– GAAAAAAH!
– I love you too! Good night!

Best Friends!

So the story goes that Chewie owes Han Solo his life. When Han was in the Imperial Army, he refused orders to kill Chewie. Han was discharged, and took up smuggling to make ends meet. Chewie came along to protect Han, to pay his debt as it were.

I’m not sure a life-debt necessarily means life-long friendship, but it surely is the case with those guys. (Assuming they are translating Chewbacca’s words correctly…You know, he could be cursing up a storm, and we wouldn’t know it! GAAAAAAAH!) Their loyalty is fierce, like family.

Most things about having children are wonderful. Sure, sometimes, tiring, exhausting, aggravating, and infuriating, but ALWAYS wonderous and amazing. It really is like a whole new universe opens up when you have a child. As a first time parent you understand that thing called unconditional love, you learn that someone puking on you can actually be kinda’ cute, and in happy disbelief you find out that there is such a thing as Yoda costumes for infants!

Stinky Tauntauns

When I was a wee Padawan, I did A LOT of camping. With friends, family and the Scouts (in Europe, the Scouts are co-ed). Eating all that campfire food, it was inevitable that someone started “stinking up” their sleeping bag at bed time. We would hear the farting, and everyone would scream “DO NOT OPEN YOUR SLEEPING BAG!!” But of course the culprit would open it, and we all would gag and scream “AAAURGH!” If we had had these Tauntaun sleeping bags, we would all have been yelling “AND WE THOUGHT THEY SMELLED BAD ON THE OUTSIDE!” instead. Camping (and farting) would have been MUCH funnier!
