Is there such a thing as a Fruit Sith? Or Fruit Jedi? If there was, Heidi Sutton would be it. She makes a Watermelon (latin name: Citrullus Lanatus) DS-1 Orbital Battle Station for every M4P. This is a take on the perennial favorite pigs-in-a-blanket. Though we have taken the pigs out and added ships. We took the pigs out because, here at May the Fourth, we are talking about Star Wars, not PIGS IN SPAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!

Today, I learned a new phrase (from wookieepedia) that I think I will use often:
Blue Milk Run.
It is used when explaining something that should be super simple. Bantha milk was easily available all over the galaxy, and going to pick some up was never a problem, so among military personnel the phrase came to mean an easy mission. Kyle Katarn tells Jaden Korr about the Mission to Tatooine: This should be a total blue milk run, kid. But it’ll give you a chance to pick up some negotiating skills. Let’s head to Tatooine.

Well, an R2-D2 glob of grease is EXACTLY what we are going for here… So let the melted cheese fun start!
This was our very first venture into molded Star Wars cheese heaven…it was super easy compared to carving, which we had done in previous years.
Me to Hubby: Honey, can I submerge one of your X-Wings in Jello?
Here is how that question arose… We need a cool new dish this year. What have we made in the past? What do we not have? We don’t have any soups… hm, what is liquid in the movies? Lake Paonga on Naboo? Yoda’s swamp! Swamp! Green soup? X-Wing? X-Wing will melt! Cold soup…Avacado? (Google recipes….) Cucumber? Ugh! X-Wing in something green. Swampy? Slimy? JELLO!!!!
