If you still have green food coloring left over after our last post, here is our encore: the dessert version of Lemonyoda. A punch with a pinch of color, a scoop of sweet, and just like the last recipe, a barrel-full of midi-chlorians.
Jedi Master Yoda
Lemonyoda #1 (Lemonade version)

This is no ordinary lemonade! This M4P exclusive recipe is chock-full of midi-chlorians! You will feel them “all fizzy” on your tongue. So if your were not born with a particularly high count, a couple of sips of this will not only quench your thirst, it will make you feel stronger, wiser, and more connected in an instant….. It will help you leap tall buildings in a single bound…no wait a minute. That’s not right. OK, at the very least it will make your taste buds smile.
Yoda’s Rootleaf Stew
Eat, eat. Hot. Good food, hm? Good, hmm? Turns out, despite all his fancy Jedi abilities, Yoda needs some lovin’ and kind words, just like the rest of us. Make the M4P version of his stew and you’ll gets lots of both!
Now, there is an officially sanctioned Star Wars version of Rootleaf Stew. Do you remember the radio dramatization of the trilogy? NPR actually hired a famous chef to create a recipe as part of the promotion for the Empire Strikes Back. We haven’t tried that recipe yet, but once we do, I will take pictures and post them.
Yoda Napkins
“Hmmm. The dark side clouds everything. Impossible to see, the future is.“ (Yoda to Palpatine in Episode II)
…well, not totally impossible. Kids are messy, and there will be spilled Bantha Milk at any good party! Having additional napkins that are more absorbent than the printed paper ones from the store (which look really fun, but aren’t very functional), are always a really good idea.
Pink Vader (DIY Girl Vader Costume)
Star Wars fandom proposes some problems for girls. The majority of characters are male of course, but more importantly just about all official licensed merchandising is geared towards boys. (Marketing people at Disney, take note, there is a vast untapped market here!) Having a daughter who likes Star Wars, AND pink girly things, can create a bit of a challenge when it comes to Star Wars costumes. But being a firm believer in creative liberties, and personal expressions – as well as being the owner of a several cans of pink spray paint, we went to work. 10 minutes of work, and wait time about the time it took to watch 3 Clone Wars episodes, we had the perfect Pink Vader costume.

It’s All in the Ears! (DIY Yoda Hat)
- My #1 modeling my Yoda Hat!
Yoda is just over 2 feet. I am almost 6 feet. He also has some 850+ years on me, so I don’t really look much like the Master. But just like him, I do make a mean rootleaf stew, I have rebellious Padowans that I am trying to guide into responsible Jedis, and I’d like to think that I am wise…ish. So, this Yoda hat has become my favorite. It is warm and cozy for cold Halloween nights; fun, convenient and out-of-the-way while dong M4P prep; and always an ice breaker when the kids have costumed events at school. In geeky good fun, it all is!
